People and Workplace

“Respect for People - We want to deal with everyone fairly, honestly and responsibly and to recognise and reward the achievements of our employees.
We are committed to nurturing and developing individual talent, and to maintaining a culture of learning and continuous improvement.”

This DPP value is the core of staff satisfaction.

We are committed to improving our staff satisfaction and checking this with regular employee surveys.  The first survey expressed the desire for greater environmental management by the business for our own activities.

Our last employee survey in 2009 found that 96% of staff would recommend DPP as an employer and 97% have confidence in the leadership of the firm.

Our people say: “my experience to date has been one of an employer thoroughly concerned about my development and value to the business”

“The training and career development at DPP is second to none and is a significant reason why I chose to join the company. It is truly excellent in that respect.”

Our Learning and Development programme is actively managed to develop our people:

Training is not the only focus for development. Within the workplace we all work hard on the relationships we have with each other.
Our structured appraisal process includes objective setting and personal development plans. At DPP we all recognise the benefits of one-to-one feedback on work matters, personal performance and personal development and how it can enable everyone to develop themselves and their careers. By engendering a flexible approach to working, coupled with continuing strong leadership our people give their best.
