Independent planning consultancy DPP has strengthened its market-leading heritage planning team with two high level and strategic appointments.
The firm has appointed Emma Adams as Partner and Head of National Heritage Planning. She is joined by Senior Heritage Planner, Andrew Tegg. Emma joins the firm on 28 February with Andrew having joined in January.
Emma joins DPP from Dacorum Borough Council (DBC) in Hertfordshire, where she was Head of Conservation and Design. This has resulted in many schemes achieving prestigious awards at both a local and national level. This has included The Akeman restaurant in Tring being awarded The Publican’s magazine award for best design.
Andrew joins the firm from British Waterways, where he was a Heritage Advisor. Andrew has for the past 12 years worked in the heritage sector, holding posts in the charitable, private and public sectors.
Commenting on her appointment Emma said: “DPP is one of the UK’s leading independent planning consultancies and has a distinguished reputation in the heritage community matched with an enviable client base. I am looking forward to the challenge of building and developing the reputation of the current Heritage offer to increase our market share.”
She added: “Heritage assets are a vital part of our built environment and present developers with many challenges and opportunities. I will be working with clients to ensure their assets are adapting to the needs of modern society. It is vital to take this approach if they are to survive and be appreciated by future generations."
