Policy & design guidance
DPP Heritage & Design prepares supplementary planning documents for complex sites involving a range of heritage assets to guide future proposals for repair, re-use and development. We are experienced in producing development briefs and strategies for sites and buildings, including Buildings at Risk and areas of outstanding interest and those subject to urban renewal.
We have experience of preparing design guides and codes for areas and specific sites often alongside the appraisal of the character and appearance of conservation areas and areas of townscape interest.
We draw upon experience to assist with the presentation of major development proposals to local, regional and national design review panels, including CABE, highlighting heritage context and understanding.
