Tesco Greystones Redevelopment

DPP was retained to coordinate a planning application in respect of the proposed redevelopment of an existing Tesco Store in Greystones, County Wicklow.

The proposal sought the demolition of the existing foodstore and ancillary units and the construction of a two storey replacement retail facility over surface car park.

In addition, the proposal sought permission for 10 retail/commercial
units and dental surgery.

Services Provided
• DPP was responsible for provision of planning advice, coordination of the EIS team and preparation of a retail impact assessment and planning report.

• DPP also engaged the planning authority in a series of pre-planning meetings.

Achievements
Full planning permission was received for the scheme following the withdrawal of a 3rd party appeal. The final scheme was reduced in size from 13,179m² to 11,430m².
