DPP has secured outline planning permission for a 30 ha urban extension site at Westwood, Thanet, on behalf of our consortium clients Carillion Richardson and Gleeson Homes. This local allocation site, within an economic priority area, will provide over 1,000 houses, a primary school, medical centre, community hall, commercial, open and play space, new roads, bus links and cycleways.

Services Provided
Working in close collaboration with Thanet District Council and Kent Highways, the outline stage included an extensive EIA, Design, Access and Sustainability Assessment with Design Guide, phased public consultation and a broad based development contributions package.

Achievements
We are now working towards the first reserved matters submission: moving this primary development site closer to delivering a range of market housing, affordable housing in partnership with Orbit Group Ltd, and new community and transport infrastructure.
