Oliver joined the Sustainability team of DPP as an Energy Consultant in September 2010 after completing his Bachelor’s degree in Building Services Engineering.

He understands the principles of how the external environment interacts with the building design influencing both the comfort and productivity of its occupants as well as its energy consumption.

He advises clients how to optimize energy use by implementing control systems that would minimise heating, cooling and electrical loads produced by the building services. His technical skills include use of SBEM and other modelling systems for the prediction and optimisation of energy consumption and background knowledge for M&E design and the effective selection of renewable technologies. By specialising in electrical services he has also developed a particular interest in Lighting and how its design can affect the energy demands and relative CO2 emissions rates of a development.
